This LPG Gas Hose Kit contains two hose clips.

What size gas hose do I need for my BBQ?

Most BBQs use 8mm orange LPG hose, which is what this product supplies (a 2m length). Check your BBQ's inlet spigot size if you're unsure, and use hose marked to the current LPG standard.

Do I need jubilee clips as well as the hose, and how many?

Yes — each end of the hose should be secured with a jubilee clip, so you need two (supplied with this product). They clamp the hose onto the regulator outlet and the appliance inlet to prevent leaks.

How do I fit the hose and tighten the clips safely?

Push the hose fully onto the regulator and appliance spigots, slide a clip over each end and tighten until secure (firm, not crushing the hose). Open the gas and leak-test both joints with soapy water before lighting.

How often should I replace a BBQ gas hose?

Replace the hose if it's cracked, perished, sticky or more than about 5 years old — check the printed date on the hose. Inspect it at the start of each BBQ season.
